In plain language: what data this platform processes and why, what your browser stores, the terms under which listings are published, and what CONFOTUR does (and does not) mean.
Privacy & data protection (Law 172-13)
We process personal data under Law 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data of the Dominican Republic. We collect the minimum needed to make the site work.
What we collect
- Interest contacts: the name and contact details you send when asking about a building or unit, together with the listing they refer to.
- Account: your email and the one-time codes you sign in with, plus the name and preferred language you choose to save.
- Favorites: the buildings and units you save to your account.
Who it is shared with
When you send an interest about a listing, your contact details are delivered to the advertising building's own system. That building's developer is the data controller for its listing and for its commercial relationship with you; the platform acts as the publishing medium.
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties outside the operation described above.
Your rights under Law 172-13
Among others, the law grants you these rights over your personal data:
- Access: know which of your data we process and obtain a copy.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Cancellation: request deletion of your data when it is no longer needed.
- Opposition: object to a specific processing of your data.
Retention
We keep your account data while the account is active, and interest messages for as long as needed to handle them; afterwards they are deleted or anonymised.
How to exercise them
Write to hola@akcern.do stating the right you want to exercise and we will answer within the terms the law sets. For data already held by a developer, you can also address that developer directly as the data controller.
Terms of use
This platform publishes what each building's own system reports: prices, availability, and construction progress come straight from the building, and every listing shows its provenance and the date of the last data point (including its possible staleness, which we surface rather than hide).
The platform is not the seller. Every purchase is concluded directly between you and the advertising building or developer, and money never moves through the platform.

About CONFOTUR
CONFOTUR (Law 158-01) grants tax incentives to approved tourism projects. Approval is always per project: a building appearing on this platform does not imply it holds CONFOTUR status, and the exact benefits and their duration vary from project to project.
